Ralph Horn Joins Gaylord Entertainment Company Board of Directors

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec 6, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ralph Horn, Chairman and CEO of First Tennessee National Corporation and First Tennessee Bank National Association, will join the Board of Directors of Gaylord Entertainment Company (NYSE: GET) effective immediately. Horn's election follows a Board vote during its meeting, December 2-3, 2001.

Horn joined First Tennessee Bank in Memphis in 1963 as a management trainee and worked his through the ranks to become president, CEO and director of First Tennessee National Corporation on July 30, 1991. At that time he was also named vice chairman and a director of First Tennessee Bank National Association, First Tennessee National Corporation's principal subsidiary. Horn was named chief executive officer of both companies on April 19, 1994, and on January 1, 1996, he became chairman of the board of directors.

Along with Gaylord Entertainment and First Tennessee National Corporation, Horn is also on the board of directors of Harrah's Entertainment Inc. and Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. He has been a member of many securities and banking associations' boards including being the past chairman of the board for the Public Securities Association, the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board and the Financial Services Roundtable.
